This second MicroSoil meeting in Saint Loup, was a little different than the first. The topic, namely  “Elucidating microbial processes in soils and sediments: Microscale measurements and modeling” was identical, and its focus was also on the microscale description of soil processes. But this workshop was meant to be a Summer School, to bring young(er) researchers abreast of recent advances in the field and to help them plan future research. The audience (lecturers + students) consisted of 23 people, from France, Germany, the UK, and Belgium.
